Biography
Prof. Ozge Kerkez Kuyumcu was born in 1984 in Istanbul. She received her B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul University in 2006 and completed a double major in Industrial Engineering in 2008. She earned her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Process and Reactor Design from Istanbul University in 2008 and 2013, respectively. Between 2009 and 2014, she served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Beykent University, where she was appointed Assistant Professor in 2014. Since 2016, she has been with the Department of Chemical Engineering at Marmara University, where she has held the title of Associate Professor since 2020. Her research interests include chemical engineering and technology, process and reactor design, and natural sciences.

Biography
Dr. Tohid Borhani is a chemical engineering researcher with expertise in separation technology, energy conversion, and carbon capture. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (specialising in Separation Technology) in 2014. Since then, he has held academic and research positions at several prestigious institutions, including the University of Wolverhampton, Heriot-Watt University, Cranfield University, the University of Sheffield, and Imperial College London.
Dr. Borhani has authored over 55 peer-reviewed journal articles, garnering more than 3000 citations and an H-index of 26. His contributions have earned him recognition as one of the top 2% of the world’s most influential researchers, according to Stanford University’s database. He has published in leading journals such as Energy & Environmental Science, Progress in Energy and Combustion Science, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, and serves as a reviewer for journals including Applied Energy, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Chemical Engineering Science.

Biography
Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has been retired due to the age limit of 67, following academic life of 45 years.
He published over 80 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 120 conferences and symposia in international and national level as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited speaker, speaker or Poster presenter. He served the program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these activities. In particular, he joined in last six years (2014 - 2019) over 60 conferences as Speaker, Keynote Speaker and Conference Co-Chair organized by different companies in different countries.
Additionally, he retired at the end of November 2019, and contributed with Keynote/Plenary Speeches over 230 Virtual/Webinar Conferences, in the coronavirus outbreak and retirement life in five year of his retirement, 2020 and 2024.
Dr. Adiguzel served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University in 1999-2004. He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M. Sc theses. He is also technical committee member of many conferences. He received a certificate which is being awarded to him and his experimental group in recognition of significant contribution of 2 patterns to the Powder Diffraction File – Release 2000. The ICDD (International Centre for Diffraction Data) also appreciates cooperation of his group and interest in Powder Diffraction File.

Shape memory effect and displacive phase transformations in shape memory alloys and other alloys, molecular dynamics simulations, alloy modeling, electron microscopy, electron diffraction, x-ray diffraction and crystallography.

Dr. Bong-Joong Kim is the Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at
Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Korea, where he has been a professor
since 2012. He previously held postdoctoral positions at Brookhaven National Laboratory’s
Center for Functional Nanomaterials (2010–2012) and Purdue University (2009–2010).
Additionally, he served as a visiting scientist at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center (2005–2012).
Dr. Kim earned his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Purdue University in 2008. Recognized
for his contributions to academia and research, he has received numerous accolades, including
the GIST Best Lecture Award (2023), the GIST Research Award for the highest impact factor
(2021), a commendation from Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT (2021), and a Presidential
Award for Promotion of Science and Technology (2025). His research focuses on the design
and synthesis of organic and inorganic nanostructures and the investigation of their properties
in device formats. He aims to advance the controlled growth of nanowires, nanotubes, and
nanoparticles with precision and reproducibility, leveraging their unique properties for
applications in catalysis, electronics, optoelectronics, thermoelectrics, and sensors.

Biography
Zisheng LU is a Senior Engineer and Laboratory Management Director of the Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). He received the Ph.D. Degree from SJTU in 2007. He has collaborated on several two international scientific research projects and supervised over 30 research projects. Three of his projects have been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and he is undertaking an NSFC project. He is the guest editor of several international journals. His research interests include engineering technologies, sorption cooling, and heat recovery, etc. He received the First Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress, the First Prize of the Science and Technology Award of China Refrigeration Society, the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award in Mechanical Industry, the SJTU Laboratory Advanced Worker, and the SJTU SMC-Young Scholar Award, etc. He published over 50 first-author papers, 30 patents, and 50 co-author papers.
