Dr. Ioannidis is an Assistant Professor of Surgery. He studied medicine in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated at 2005. He received his MSC in “Medical Research Methodology” in 2008 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in “Surgery of Liver, Biliary Tree and Pancreas” from the Democritus University of Thrace in 2016. He received his PhD degree in 2014 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for his thesis “The effect of combined administration of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in ulcerative colitis. Experimental study in rats.” He is a General Surgeon with special interest in laparoscopic surgery and surgical oncology and also in surgical infections, acute care surgery, nutrition and ERAS. He has received fellowships for EAES, ESSO, EPC, ESCP and ACS and has published more than 130 articles with more than 3000 citations and an H-index of 28

Theoretical insights into the half-metallicity and strong ferro-magnetism of Ag-doped GaN diluted semiconductor

Professor Hai-Feng Li primarily focuses on research in condensed matter physics and materials science. He possesses over 20 years of extensive experience in studying novel functional materials using neutron and X-ray scattering techniques. In 2009, he received his Ph.D. in Engineering from Forschungszentrum Jülich and RWTH Aachen University in Germany. His doctoral thesis earned the "Borchersplakette" award for its outstanding performance. Before joining the University of Macau, he served as a Marie Curie CONEX researcher and professor at Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain. Currently, Professor Li is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering at the University of Macau. His research centers on the development and characterization of advanced functional materials, particularly the synthesis of polycrystalline and single-crystal materials using flux and floating zone methods. He has amassed extensive research experience in neutron scattering and has conducted experiments at several leading neutron and synchrotron facilities worldwide. These include JCNS, MLZ, BESSY, DESY in Germany; HFIR, SNS, NIST, and APS in the USA; LLB, ILL, and ESRF in France; ISIS and Diamond in the UK; SINQ in Switzerland; and CSNS in China. Through these facilities, he has performed numerous experiments to explore the microstructure, magnetic interactions, phase transition behavior, and formation mechanisms of materials. Professor Li has published over 130 papers in top international journals such as Physical Review Letters, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Materials Today, with more than 3085 citations and an h-index of 31. He has also authored a book and a book chapter and holds 11 granted patents. His recent research investigates the magnetic properties of rare-earth chromates and the micro-mechanisms of Mg-based thermoelectric materials using neutron scattering techniques. Additionally, he employs deep learning and graph neural networks to predict performance optimization strategies for NASICON materials and lithium-ion battery cathode materials. For his outstanding academic contributions, Professor Li has received several honors, including the National Outstanding Young Neutron Paper Award in 2016 and the Marie Curie Foundation Fellowship in 2015. He actively engages in academic and professional communities, serving as a member of several associations. He has organized and participated in numerous international academic conferences, including hosting the 2018 Joint Annual Conference of Physical Societies in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Dr. Cheepsattayakorn graduated Doctor of Medicine from Chiang Mai Medical School, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand in 1986. He then further had trained in Internal Medicine, Pulmonology, and Radiology at Chiang Mai University Medical School. Recently, on October 26, 2019, he was bestowed the Gold Medal Award (First-Class Award) from the Chiang Mai University Medical School Alumni Association in Chiang Mai, Thailand for his academic and medical practice excellence for cerebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Chiang Mai University Medical School, Chiang Mai, Thailand that was established on October 28, 1959. He graduated numerous Fellowships from the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Edinburgh, London and Thailand, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, American College of Physicians, and American College of Chest Physicians. Presently, he serves both Editor and Editorial Board Member, referee of several international journals, and several international conference organizing committees. He has very high experience in the fields of Pulmonary Diseases and Tuberculosis including Infectious Diseases and Immunology. He has numerous scientific publications, more than 333 publications both in national and international journals and books, including authored textbook of COVID-19, “ Thailand’s and Global Perspectives of COVID-19 ”, both the United Kingdom version (361 pages, first edition published by the Medical and Research Publications in 2021) and the United States of America version (367 pages, second edition published by the Science and Education Publishing in 2022). Recently, in 2022, he published a Book Chapter, entitled “ COVID-19 and Respiratory System ” in a Textbook, entitled “ Chest Medicine in Perspective ” published by Thammasat Printing House, Bangkok, Thailand (736 pages). In 2024, his book chapter, entitled “ SARS-CoV-2 (COVID—19) Variants and COVID-19 Vaccine Efficacy ” (DOI : https://doi.org/10.9734/bpi/acmms/v1/2779; pages : 56-64) was published on November 18, 2024 by the Book Publishers International (UK, India) in a medical textbook, entitled “ Achievements and Challenges of Medicine and Medical Science ”, Volume 1 (207 pages; DOI : https://doi.org/10.9734/bpi/acmms/v1; Print ISBN : 978-93-48388-84-1; e-Book ISBN : 978-93-48388-23-0). His name has been mentioned in more than 700 publications in Academia Premium and his published articles have been cited in more than 252 publications (times) in 5 years in Google Scholar repository. He had been served a Director and Consultant in Respiratory Medicine of the 10 th Zonal Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases Center, Chiang Mai, Thailand for a long time, a Director of the 5 th Office of Disease Prevention and Control and Consultant in Respiratory Medicine, Ratchaburi, Thailand and presently serves as Consultant in Respiratory Medicine (Pulmonologist) at the 10 th Zonal Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases Center, Chiang Mai, Thailand and Senior Expert Level 11 (Highest Level, equivalent to Professor of Medicine Level 11), Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand. He serves as Instructor of the Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital, Navamindradhiraj University, Bangkok, Thailand and Faculty Member of the Faculty of Medicine, Western University. Recently, in August 2024, he has been honored and announced the best scientific medical and clinical pulmonary and related medical disciplines researcher and innovator for the year 2023 (annually selected) from the Faculty of Medicine, Western University, Thailand and appointed the Chair of the scientific medical and related disciplines research and innovation committee of the Faculty of Medicine, Western University, Thailand in August 2024. Currently, he also serves the International Regional Adviser (Advisory Board) with particularly extended-three-year term for Thailand of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, United Kingdom and the Reviewer for the journals of the Royal College of Physicians of London, United Kingdom. He was appointed the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)’s Advisor in 2021-2022. He was directly invited & proposed to the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) Membership by the United Nations Former Secretary-General “ H.E. Ban Ki-Moon ”. Recently, he has been approved for the Membership of the WFUNA since 4 January 2022 (Ref. : UN-467-NYUN) and has been appointed the WFUNA Membership signed by the UN authorities (the UN Secretary-General, the UN President of the General Assembly, and the UN President of the Security Council) since January 15, 2022. Nationally, recently, he was appointed the chairman of the executive research ethical board committee for the health inspection region 4, and executive research ethical board committee of the Thailand Department of Disease Control, Thailand Ministry of Public Health since September 5, 2022, and since March 17, 2025, respectively, and nationally, recently, he was appointed a board committee director for urban disease control academic planning since August 26, 2022. Since March 31, 2023, he has been appointed an executive committee member of the Anti-Tuberculosis Association of Thailand under The Royal Patronage of H.M. The King (Bangkok). Recently, he was appointed the Secretary-General of the Urban Disease Control Foundation, Thailand.
