Roy G. Beran, is a consultant neurologist and accredited sleep physician. His qualifications include: MBBS, MD, FRACGP, FRACP, FRCP(Ed), FAAN, FANZAN, FAFPHM, Grad. Dip. Tertiary Ed., Grad. Dip. Further Ed., FACBS, B Leg. S, MHL, FACLM, FRNS, FSASS and FFFLM (Hon). Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration includes: Neurology; Public Health; and Sleep Medicine. He was: a Designated Medical Examiner re the Civil Aviation Safety Authority; medical assessor for Dispute Resolution re NSW State Insurance Regulatory Authority; assessor re NSW Workers Compensation Commission; and List 1 Consultant in Neurology for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). He is a Conjoint Professor of Medicine, University of NSW; Professor, School of Medicine, Griffith University, Queensland; Conjoint Professor, Medical School, Western Sydney University; and was Professor, Chair, Medical Law, Sechenov Moscow 1st State University, Moscow, Russia; After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, he refused to re-sign with Sechenov University. He was the inaugural Visiting Professor at the International Research Institute of Health Law Sciences, Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, China and completed a teaching lecture tour, as Visiting Professor, to the East China University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai, China in 2024. . He is: a founding Fellow of the Australasian College of Legal Medicine (ACLM); a Past President thereof, having stepped down in 2011, remains on Council and awarded its second Honorary Life Fellowship. In 2019, he was appointed ‘Co-Head of Faculty’, co-ordinating ACLM training courses throughout Australia. He is the Australian Governor and Immediate Past President of the World Association for Medical Law (WAML), (previously President, Secretary General, Executive Vice President and Regional Vice President) and served on Organising Committees of many World Congresses for Medical Law, being Programme Chair in 2004 and 2022, both in Australia. He was the first Honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians (London). He helped negotiate, with Bond University, to create a programme in Legal Medicine, in conjunction with the ACLM. In Neurology, he is: a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians; a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh; Corresponding Fellow of the American Academy of Neurologists; and a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists. He is a Member of the Australasian Sleep Association, having served on various committees thereof. He pioneered clinical trials and research in private practice, being principal author in publications which included leading academic/tertiary referral institutions. He has published: >400 papers, book chapters and letters to the editor; presented ~450 papers at national and international meetings; written or edited 17 books; is on numerous editorial boards; and was the Editor-in-Chief of the WAML international journal, Medicine and Law. In 2022, he was invited to be a founding member of the newly formed Australian Magnetic Resonance Imaging Association and was elected Vice President of the foundation Board of Management. His research interests include: Concussion; Epilepsy; Legal Medicine; Stroke; Sleep; Neuroepidemiology; Neurological Imaging; and Medical Education. He was an officer in the RAN Reserves (holding the rank of Commander) and was awarded membership of the general division of the Order of Australia, in 2015. His Orcid ID is: 0000-0002-5884-0606.

Biography
Michal Schwartz is a professor of neuroimmunology at the Weizmann Institute of Science. She is active in the field of neurodegenerative diseases, particularly utilizing the immune system to help the brain fight terminal neurodegenerative brain diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
Schwartz's studies have shown that the immune system supports a healthy brain's function and is vital for healing and protecting the brain in case of injury or disease.
Schwartz coined the term protective autoimmunity and discovered roles for immune cells in repair and neurogenesis. She has been the elected chair of the International Society of Neuroimmunology (ISNI) since 2016.
In 2023 Schwartz received the honorary Israel Prize for Life Sciences.

Ivan V. Maksimovich graduated from I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University in 1979 specializing in cardiovascular surgery. After the graduation, he worked in leading research institutes and clinics of the country. Since 1993, Dr. Maksimovich has been the head of the Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases named after Most Holy John Tobolsky in Moscow (carvasc@yandex.ru). In 2004, Dr. Maksimovich earned his doctorate in medicine. His thesis was entitled "Transluminal Laser Angioplasty in the Treatment of Ischemic Brain Lesions". He is the author of more than 300 scientific papers on transcatheter treatment of vascular diseases.

Professor Luiz Moutinho (BA, MA, PhD, MAE, FCIM) is the Visiting Professor of Marketing at Faculty of Arts, Business and Applied Social Science, Univ. of Suffolk, Ipswich, England, UK, and IPAM, Marketing Business School.
In 2020 he was elected as the member of The Academia Europaea. In 2017 he received a degree of Prof. Honoris Causa from the Univ. of Tourism and Management Skopje, North Macedonia. In 2025 was rated among the top 85 in 100 best scientists in Business and Management by Research.com.
During 2015 - 2017 he was a professor of BioMarketing and Futures Research at the DCU Business School, Dublin City University, Ireland. This was the first Chair in the world on both domains - BioMarketing and Futures Research. Previously, and for 20 years, he had been appointed as the Foundation Chair of Marketing at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, Scotland.
He completed his PhD at the University of Sheffield in 1982. He has been a Full Professor for 36 years and held posts at Cardiff Business School, University of Wales College of Cardiff, Cleveland State University, Ohio, USA, Northern Arizona University, USA and California State University, USA. He has held Visiting Professorship positions at numerous universities in China, Lithuania, Austria, New Zealand, Denmark, Slovenia, Portugal, Hungary, Taiwan, Brazil, Colombia, Fiji and Cyprus.
Between 1987 and 1989 he was the director of the Doctoral Programmes at the Confederation of Scottish Business Schools and at the Cardiff Business School between 1993 and 1996. He was director of the Doctoral Programme in Management at the University of Glasgow between 1996 and 2004.
Professor Moutinho is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Modelling in Management (JM2) and Co-editor-in-Chief of the Innovative Marketing Journal. He has another 4 associate editorships as well as being in the editorial boards of another 47 international academic journals.
His areas of research interest encompass marketing and management futurecast, artificial intelligence, biometrics and neuroscience in marketing, futures research algorithmic self, EmoWear - a wearable tech device that detects human emotions, evolutionary algorithms, human-computer interaction, the use of artificial neural networks in marketing, modelling processes of consumer behaviour and tourism futurecast.
He has developed a number of conceptual models over the years in areas such as tourism destination decision processes, automated banking, supermarket patronage, among other areas. The testing of these research models has been based on the application of many different statistical, computer and mathematical modelling techniques ranging from multidimensional scaling, multinomial logit generalised linear models (GLMs) and linear structural relations to neural networks, ordered probit, simulated annealing, tabu search, genetic algorithms, memetic algorithms and fuzzy logic.
Prof. Moutinho has given keynote speeches, lectures, seminars, talks, etc. in 63 countries worldwide.
Prof. Moutinho has 40 books published, over 161 articles published in refereed academic journals.

Moussa B.H. Youdim ist ein iranisch-israelischer Neurowissenschaftler, der sich in erster Linie mit dem Enzym Monoaminoxidase und seiner Rolle bei der Entstehung der Parkinson-Krankheit beschäftigt. Durch seine Forschungen auf diesem Gebiet hat er wesentlich zur Entwicklung von selektiven Hemmstoffen dieses Enzyms beigetragen. Medikamente zur Hemmung der Monoaminoxidase B sind inzwischen eine etablierte Methode zur Behandlung der Parkinson-Krankheit. Ebenso leistete er Pionierarbeit bei der Erforschung der Rolle des Eisens für die Gehirnfunktion, seines Mangels oder Überschusses sowie bei der Entwicklung von neuroprotektiven und neurorestaurativen Arzneimitteln zur Behandlung neurodegenerativer Erkrankungen.
Der Biochemiker untersuchte bereits während seiner Promotion das Enzym Monoaminoxidase und identifizierte die Isoformen A und B und spürte deren Rolle bei neuropsychiatrischen Erkrankungen nach. Darauf aufbauend, entwickelte der Biochemiker den Arzneistoff Selegilin, einen selektiven irreversiblen MAO-B-Hemmstoff für die Therapie der Parkinson-Erkrankung. Über den verzögerten Abbau von Dopamin wird dessen Konzentration im Gehirn erhöht und so die Krankheitssymptome zurückgedrängt.
Dem Team um Youdim gelang 2005 noch eine Weiterentwicklung dieses Therapieansatzes zum Wirkstoff Rasagilin. Die Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler untersuchten auch eine mögliche pathogene Rolle des Eisenstoffwechsels bei neurodegenerativen Störungen. Schon um die Jahrtausendwende setzten sie bei ihrer Forschung auch molekularbiologische Methoden, wie Proteomik und Transkriptomik, ein und kombinierten sie mit klassischer Zellbiologie.
Seit den 1990er Jahren widmete sich Moussa B.H. Youdim intensiv der pharmakologischen Grundlagenforschung in den Neurowissenschaften und etablierte am Technion – Israel Institute of Technology eine Abteilung für Pharmakologie. Später gründete er zudem das Eve Topf Center of Excellence for Neurodegenerative Disease Research und war beratend für mehrere pharmazeutische Unternehmen tätig.
Neben der Parkinson-Erkrankung widmet sich Youdim auch anderen neurodegenerativen Störungen, wie der Alzheimer-Erkrankung. Im Fokus steht dabei das bei dieser Erkrankung gestörte cholinerge Neurotransmittersystem. Moussa B.H. Youdim kombiniert bei seinem Therapieansatz die Wirkungsweise der MAO-B-Hemmer mit einer Blockade des Acetylcholins, um mit einem multimodalen Ansatz möglichst früh in die Pathogenese des kognitiven Abbaus bei einer Alzheimer-Demenz einzugreifen.
Moussa B.H. Youdim hat viele Forscherinnen und Forscher mit seiner Arbeit inspiriert und fördert bis heute den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs, um die Erforschung der in einer älter werdenden Population zunehmenden neurodegenerativen Erkrankungen voranzubringen.

cardiology in New Jersy and Delaware, USA. He was board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular
disease, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. He had an interest in chronic muscle spasm
and found that chronic muscle spasm had an ischemic etiology and developed a technique using EMG
guidance to reverse the ischemia and resolve the chronic muscle spasm. His publication in this area is 12
abstracts, a book and 2 recent articles. He is currently retired from clinical practice and no longer has
institutional affiliations.

After completing my medical education at Hacettepe University, School of Medicine, in 1986, I pursued my career in neurosurgery at Ankara University, Avicenna Hospital, where I trained under renowned experts in functional neurosurgery and graduated in 1992. I became a Professor of Neurosurgery in 2009 and earned my PhD in Anatomy in 2011. In addition to performing standard neurosurgical procedures, I specialize in functional neurosurgical operations, including surgeries for migraine and vertigo, stroke and cerebral palsy, epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease, spasticity, tremor, and restless legs, as well as dementia and psychiatric disorders (psychosurgery). I also conduct reinnervation surgery for traumatic spinal cord injuries and peripheral nerve palsies. I have over 500 citations in journals listed in the Science Citation Index (SCI) or SCI-Expanded.
