My work spans collaborating closely with esteemed doctors on a diverse range of research projects, each aimed at enhancing our understanding and management of health issues, and overseeing the ethical dimensions of research as per ICMR, NDCT guidelines, and GCP standards.
Proud alum of the Goa Chief Minister's Fellowship, where I focused on a pivotal project examining overweight and obesity trends among government employees. This work not only enriched my research skills but also deepened my commitment to public health.

I am a Medical Doctor and Public Health Specialist, with a specific focus on Global and Humanitarian Health and International Health Cooperation.
The relevant areas covered in my Public Health specialization program are:
-RESEARCH: Quantitative and qualitative research, implementation/operational research, protocol design, research coordination, research methodology, research tools, and more.
-MONITORING AND EVALUATION (M&E): Utilizing M&E tools, designing M&E frameworks, defining indicators, preparing reports, conducting impact evaluations, performance evaluations, outcomes evaluations, and more.
-PREVENTION: Engaging in health promotion, organizing prevention campaigns, overseeing disease surveillance, preparedness, and response processes, and focusing on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) prevention.
-HEALTH MANAGEMENT: Involvement in process design, ensuring quality of care, risk management, healthcare audit, M&E activities, budgeting, coordinating healthcare teams, ensuring service delivery quality, exploring digital health and telemedicine, understanding health law, and more.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Buenos Aires (1966), a master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (1977), and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (1983). She received a CNPq Research Productivity Scholarship until February 2020. She has a specialization in Microbiology (University of Amsterdam) and in Radiation and Radioisotope Applications (CNEA, BsAs). She is currently a Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Nuclear Technology-Applications at IPEN/CNEN, affiliated with USP. She is a retired principal researcher at IPEN/CNEN. She is Chair of the Radiation Sources Applications Committee of the Latin American Section of the American Nuclear Society and a member of Women in Nuclear (WiN), the American Chemistry Society, the Institute of Food Technologists, Pugwash Brasil, REPROLAM, etc. He has experience in the application of ionizing radiation in healthcare, agriculture, and industry, primarily in radiation sterilization, food irradiation, the use of natural polymers to develop new materials, and antioxidants in foods
