International participants planning to attend an event taking place in Frankfurt, Germany, may be required to obtain a visa depending on their nationality. Germany is part of the Schengen Area, and short stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period generally fall under the Schengen visa regulations. We strongly recommend checking the latest visa requirements well in advance of your planned travel dates.

1. Visa Requirements

Citizens of the European Union (EU) generally do not require a visa to enter Germany.

Citizens of certain other countries may enter Germany visa-free for short stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period, subject to applicable conditions.

Participants whose nationality requires a visa should apply for a Schengen Visa (Category C) through the appropriate German Embassy, Consulate, or authorized visa application center.

2. Documents Usually Required

When applying for a German Schengen visa, applicants may be asked to provide:

A valid passport and required travel document.

A completed visa application form.

Recent passport-sized photographs.

Proof of the purpose of travel, such as an official invitation letter where applicable.

Travel itinerary and proof of accommodation.

Proof of sufficient financial means for the planned stay.

Travel medical insurance meeting Schengen requirements.

3. Visa Assistance

Upon request and after registration confirmation, the organizing committee may provide an official invitation letter to support the visa application.

Participants are responsible for submitting their visa applications and required documents within the appropriate timeframe.

Visa applications should generally be submitted to the German mission responsible for the applicant's place of residence when Germany is the sole or main destination of the Schengen trip.
