Travelers to Bali, Indonesia may require a visa depending on their nationality and purpose of visit. Below are the general guidelines:

Visa-Free Entry

Citizens of select countries (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and a few others) can enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days, for tourism and non-work-related visits.

Visa on Arrival (VoA)

Most travelers, including those from the United States, Canada, UK, EU countries, Australia, New Zealand, India, and many others, are eligible for a Visa on Arrival:

  • Valid for 30 days (extendable once for another 30 days)

  • Fee: Approximately IDR 500,000 (around USD 35)

  • Can be paid upon arrival or applied for online in advance via the official Indonesian e-Visa website.

e-Visa (Electronic Visa)

Visitors who prefer to arrange visas in advance can apply for an e-VoA or Visit Visa online via:

Documents Required

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
