General Information

The InSciTech Meet on Condensed Matter Physics (IMCMP2026) will be held from December 07–09, 2026, in Rome, Italy. This international conference aims to bring together researchers, scientists, academics, industry experts, innovators, and professionals to discuss the latest advancements, emerging research, and future directions in Condensed Matter Physics and related scientific fields.

1. Visa Requirements

International participants planning to attend IMCMP2026 in Rome, Italy may be required to obtain a visa, depending on their nationality and country of residence. Participants are advised to check the applicable Italian and Schengen visa requirements well in advance of their travel.

  • Citizens of certain countries may be eligible for visa-free entry into the Schengen Area for short stays, subject to applicable regulations.
  • Participants who require a visa should apply in advance through the appropriate Italian Embassy or Consulate or an authorized visa application center in their country of residence.
  • We strongly recommend verifying the latest visa requirements and entry regulations through the official Italian government and European Union sources before submitting a visa application.

2. Documents Usually Required

Depending on the applicant's nationality and visa category, the following documents may generally be required:

  • A valid passport with sufficient validity beyond the intended period of stay.
  • Completed Schengen visa application form, if applicable.
  • Recent passport-sized photographs meeting the required specifications.
  • Proof of conference registration.
  • Official conference invitation letter, if required.
  • Proof of accommodation and travel arrangements, where applicable.
  • Travel medical insurance, where required by Schengen visa regulations.
  • Additional financial or supporting documents as requested by the relevant visa authorities.

3. Visa Assistance

Upon request and after confirmation of registration, the organizing committee may provide an official conference invitation letter to support your visa application.

Please note that the invitation letter does not guarantee visa approval. Visa decisions are made solely by the relevant Italian/Schengen authorities. The invitation letter serves only as supporting documentation for your visa application.

Participants are strongly encouraged to review the current Italian and Schengen visa regulations and submit their applications well in advance to allow sufficient processing time.
