Inscitech Meet on Robotics and Automation
The InSciTech
Meet on Robotics and Automation (IMROBOTICS2026) is an international
conference focused on the forefront of innovation in robotics,
automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and intelligent systems. The
conference will be held from March 8–10, 2026, in the dynamic city
of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Organized by InSciTech Summits, IMROBOTICS2026 aims to bring together leading researchers, scientists, engineers, technology developers, and industry leaders from around the globe to share insights, present research findings, and explore the next generation of automation technologies.

Biography
Marjan Mernik received the MSc and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the University of Maribor in 1994 and 1998, respectively. He is currently a professor at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He was a visiting professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Department of Computer and Information Sciences. His research interests include programming languages, domain-specific (modelling) languages, grammar and semantic inference, and evolutionary computations. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Computer Languages, as well as Associate Editors of the Applied Soft Computing Journal, and Swarm and Evolutionary Computation Journal. He has been named a Highly Cited Researcher for years 2017 and 2018.

embodied perception, multi-modal AI, embodied spatial intelligence, human-robot interaction. He received several awards and honors, including the Best Paper Award from IEEE VR conference, CVPR Oral/Highlight Paper, Tencent Best Patent Project Award, KAIST Highest Ph.D Research Award,
etc. He has been serving as the Senior Program Committee (Area Chair), the Session Chair, and Reviewer for many top-tier conferences and journals, such as AAAI, ICLR, CVPR/ICCV/ECCV, ICRA/IROS, IEEE TPAMI, IEEE RAL, IEEE T-ITS, IEEE VR, IEEE

Chinthaka Premachandra (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Sri Lanka. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Mie University, Tsu, Japan, in 2006 and 2008, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan, in 2011. From 2012 to 2015, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Tokyo University of Science, Tokyo, Japan. From 2016 to 2017, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, School of Engineering, Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo, where he was an Associate Professor, from 2018 to 2022. In 2022, he was promoted to a Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Shibaura Institute of Technology, where he is currently the Manager of the Image Processing and Robotic Laboratory. His research interests include AI, UAV, image processing, audio processing, intelligent transport systems (ITS), and mobile robotics.

Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and his M.S. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, New York, U.S.A., in 1992 and 1987, respectively; and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, in 1985. Prior to joining UTA, he was an associate professor in the Computer Science Department at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He has authored 260-plus publications that include books, papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, related to software for supercomputing systems, parallel optimization algorithms, digital video compression and analysis, assistive technologies and sustainable computing. Professor Ahmad has received numerous international research awards, including five best research paper awards at leading conferences and top-tier journals. Dr. Ahmad’s research, with career-wide funding exceeding $13 million, is sponsored by government agencies and several companies.

Instrumental in the evolution of learning, education and training in the last few decades having developed new technologies such as virtual reality, interactive video, hypermedia, expert systems, modelling and simulations. Qualified Ph.D. holder in Educational and Media Design, with Master’s in Education and Training and Bachelor’s in Educational Practitioner. Received the prestigious academic award for innovative ‘Media in Education’ and offered a research position in collaborative group problem solving wherein designed the ‘Concise Urban Planning Task’. Biography
Marios Savvides, the Bossa Nova Robotics Professor of Artificial Intelligence at Carnegie Mellon University, and Founder and Director of the CMU Biometrics Center. I received the B.Eng in Microelectronics Systems Engineering from UMIST (U.K.), MSc in Robotics and PhD in ECE at CMU. I have authored and co-authored over 250 journal and conference publications, including 22 book chapters and served as the area editor of the Springer’s Encyclopedia of Biometrics, with over 100 invention disclosures which have led to over 80 patent pending applications (many already granted). We invented the World’s 1st 40ft stand-off distance Iris recognition system capable of enrolling and matching someone’s iris anywhere from 6m-13m away. We developed robust face detection even in presence of extreme occlusions and masks which lead to receiving the Outstanding AI Award from the Secretary of the Army, Mr. Ryan McCarthy. Our work on the Boston Marathon bombing case was featured in CBS 60mins, CNN, NOVA and many other news media articles.
