Biography
Dr. Stefan Bittmann, born in 1968, is a German pediatrician. He is the father of two children. He graduated from the Gymnasium Paulinum in Münster. He studied medicine from 1989 to 1996 at the Universities of Münster, at the Rudolphina in Vienna during a year of study abroad, and at the Ludwig-Maximilian University left of the Isar in Munich. Student internships during medical studies several times in Switzerland as well as in the USA. He completed his medical studies in 1996 with the 3rd state examination in Munich. He received his doctorate with the topic of biliary atresia in childhood at the Pediatric Surgical Clinic of the Hauner Children's Hospital of the LMU Munich under Professor Dr. Kellnar. n his professional career, Bittmann has published approximately 170 scientific publications and books in the field of pediatrics and pediatric surgery (as of 1/23). He was appointed as Visiting Professor in Pediatrics in September 2022 by the Dean of School of Medicine, Shangluo Vocational and Technical College, University of Shangluo, China, where he holds a teaching position. He took over the pediatric practice in Gronau (Westf.) in April 2009 and founded the Ped Mind Institute, a research group in the field of clinical research in pediatrics, in 2010. He completed a part-time master's degree program in complementary medicine at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and graduated in 2013 with the master's thesis on HPV vaccinations and the master's examination in Bad Honnef and received the academic degree of Master of Arts (M.A.). In the further course, set up one of the largest pediatric practices in Westmünsterland and continued clinical research in the Ped Mind Institute.

To uncover fundamental principles of clinical pediatric research and to enable such studies by advancing clinical work in pediatric departments und pediatric institutions.

Biography
Professor Popa-Wagner obtained his PhD in Biochemistry from the Institute of Biochemistry at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and subsequently completed postdoctoral training at the Ethel Percy Andrus Gerontology Center, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. He later achieved habilitation in Internal Medicine and Experimental Neurology at the University of Medicine Greifswald, Germany, and conducted research in molecular psychiatry for five years at the University of Medicine Rostock, Germany. He is currently affiliated with the Vascular Neurology and Dementia Group at the Clinic of Neurology, Medical University Essen, Germany, and serves as Director of the Experimental Research Center for Normal and Pathological Aging at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova.

Dr. Alain Chapel has spent the past 30 years in developing gene and cell therapy using non-human primates, immune-tolerant mice and rats to protect against the side effects of radiation. He collaborates with clinicians to develop strategies for treatment of patients after radiotherapy overexposures. He has participated in the first establishment of proof of concept of the therapeutic efficacy of Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for the treatment of hematopoietic deficit, radiodermatitis and over dosages of radiotherapy. He has contributed to the first reported correction of deficient hematopoiesis in patients (graft failure and aplastic anemia) thanks to intravenous injection of MSCs restoring the bone marrow microenvironment, mandatory to sustain hematopoiesis after totl body irradiation. He is scientific investigator of Clinical phase II trial evaluating the efficacy of systemic MSC injections for the treatment of severe and chronic radiotherapy-induced abdomino-pelvic complications refractory to standard therapy (NCT02814864Hirsch Index 31).

Biography
Professor Andrzej Lange is the founder of the Lower Silesian Center for Cell Transplantation and a pioneering center for cell propagation. Thanks to the Laboratory, a bone marrow transplant center was created (1,300 procedures) and the National Bank of Bone Marrow Donors (Polish and EBMT, EFI, NMDP, WMDA accreditations). The foundation of the operation is immunogenetics. Polymorphic features of genes encoding cytokines and chemokines important in transplantation but also in Covid-19 were discovered. In these areas, in a situation of inflammatory overload, a sequence of events leading to immune dysregulation was documented.
The TCRbeta research initiated 20 years ago was innovative and now, thanks to the use of next-generation sequencing, the diversity of TCR beta families in the disease has been described. In the era of Covid-19, this is of great importance. Regenerative procedures have been performed for 17 years (restoring circulation in ischemic limbs and avascular bone necrosis, joint regeneration), phenotypic features of stem cells have been discovered that are associated with biological differentiation pathways. Clinically effective modifications of transplant material have been developed and performed for pioneering bone marrow transplantation procedures in immunodeficient infants.
