Alfred L. Guiffrida is an Associate Professor Emeritus of Management and Information Systems
in the Department of Information Systems & Business Analytics in the Ambassador Crawford
College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Kent State University. His research interests are in
the areas of supply chain delivery performance, sustainable logistics, and last-mile delivery. He
holds his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the State University of New York
at Buffalo. His papers have been published in Applied Mathematical Modelling, The
Engineering Economist, European Journal of Operational Research, Information Systems and
Operational Research, International Journal of Integrated Supply Management, International
Journal of Logistics Systems and Management, International Journal of Production Economics,
International Journal of Production Research, International Transactions in Operations Research,
