Biography
Abel Isaías Barrial Luján is a Peruvian researcher, university lecturer, and agroindustrial engineer. He holds a PhD in Environment and Sustainable Development and has completed doctoral studies in Agri-Food and Biotechnology at the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. He also holds a master’s degree in Agri-Food and Environmental Economics from the same university. His academic career encompasses teaching, scientific research, and the supervision of research projects in food science and technology. His main research interests focus on the bioprospecting and valorization of plant-based by-products for the development of functional ingredients and value-added products. His work promotes sustainability, circular economy principles, and innovation in the agri-food sector.
