Biography
Andrei A. Bunaciu was born in 1955 in Fagaras, a small town in the heart of Transylvania, and graduated from Politehnica University of Bucharest in 1979. He received his Ph.D. from the Politehnica University of Bucharest, Faculty of Chemistry, Department of Analytical Chemistry in 1990. His research interests focus on the molecular recognition of compounds in pharmaceutical, biological, and food matrices, using infrared spectroscopy techniques. He is the author/co-author of about 100 publications in biomedical, pharmaceutical and food analysis, including a book, VIBRATIONAL SPECTROSCOPY APPLICATIONS IN BIOMEDICAL, PHARMACEUTICAL AND FOOD SCIENCES, published in 2020 by Elsevier, Inc., a second one, EDIBLE OILS ANALYSIS. TRENDS IN INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY AND OTHER ANALYTICAL METHODS, will be published soon, November 2025 by Elsevier, Inc., and five chapters in different books.

Biography
Shireen is CEO of the Center for Engineering and Planning (CEP), a leading Palestinian engineering firm that’s based in Ramallah, Palestine. Under Shireen’s leadership, CEP has grown to have operations in Canada, UAE, Iraq, Libya, and Jordan. Shireen leads technical teams of national and international experts in spatial, strategic planning, and infrastructure development for urban and rural communities.
Shireen is also co-founder and board chairwoman of Shelleh Medical and Pharmaceutical Supplies. And although company recently established in 2017 that’s also based in Palestine, yet has already become the sole regional supplier of world renowned health products and medical supplies.
Shireen has been appointed on 2022 by Singapore Government as their honorary head of Singapore representative office in Palestine.
Shireen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Birzeit University in Palestine, and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. Shireen has been selected by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader of the Year 2016 (YGL). She is a board member of the Palestinian Business Women Forum (BWF), and a member of several other social and technical organizations.
