Visa Information for Rome, Italy – InSciTech Summit 2026 Participants
Participants planning to attend the InSciTech Summit on Public Health and Health Care Medicine, taking place from May 04–06, 2026 in Rome, Italy, may require a visa depending on their nationality and duration of stay.
Below is a general guide to help you prepare:
Italy is part of the Schengen Area, which allows visitors to travel across 27 European countries using a single short-stay visa. For tourism or business purposes, the Schengen Visa (Type C) permits stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
Citizens from the following regions do not need a visa for short stays (up to 90 days):
EU/EEA countries
USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand
Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Brazil, Israel, and several others
Citizens from countries outside the Schengen visa waiver list, such as:
India, China, Pakistan, Nigeria, Iran, Ghana, Bangladesh, Egypt, etc., must apply for a short-term Schengen Visa (Type C).
If a visa is required:
Apply through the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your country.
You can also apply via authorized visa application centers (such as VFS Global or TLScontact).
It is recommended to apply at least 6–8 weeks before your intended travel date.

Travel itinerary and flight bookings
Invitation letter from the conference organizers (we will provide upon request)

Travel insurance covering at least €30,000 in medical expenses
